PAO Roof announced Yiannis Goumas

Giannis Goumas is the new coach of PAO Roof, the team announced on Thursday (December 15) that they were starting to work with the 47-year-old.

“ Yannis Goumas is the new coach of our team!

PAO ROUF ATHENS announces the start of its collaboration with coach Yiannis Goumas, with whom an agreement has been reached to take over the technical leadership of our team.

Yiannis Goumas was born in Larissa on May 24, 1975 and had a great footballing career, playing for 17 consecutive years at Panathinaikos, starting in 1992 and hanging up his boots as Green Party captain in the summer of 2009 after winning had won 3 championships and 1 cup Greece. Also, he was crowned 45 times by the Greek national team between 1997 and 2008 while he was a member of the blue and white team that won the European Football Championship in Portugal in 2004 under the tutelage of Otto Rehagel and sent all Greeks to seventh heaven.

Yannis Goumas started his career as a coach in 2012 at AO Glyfada, then switched to PAE Skoda Xanthi in the SuperLeague 1 championship in the 2013/14 season as assistant coach to Reiner Mauer and Nikos Kehagias National teams of Greece, successively took over the U-18, then the U-19 and then the U-21, from where he left in April 2021. The last station of his career in the second half of last season (2021). -22 ) was Ermis Aradippou, who competes in the 2nd national division of Cyprus.

Our new coach will be introduced to our players by the management and will have his first training session tomorrow Thursday (15/12) while he will make his debut on our team’s bench on Monday (19/12) in the home match against Panachaiki ).
