Pritsas: “Any healthy and well-intentioned attempt to improve football is cut short at birth”
The powerful man of Kifissia, Christos Pritsas, announced in his announcement that he is resigning from the position of second vice president of Super League 2 in continuation of the events that have happened in the last few games as well as in the board of directors. the organizing authority.
The powerful man of Kifissia, Christos Pritsas, announced on Saturday afternoon (01/07), a few hours after his side’s game against Olympiakos was suspended, that he is resigning from the position of second vice-president of Super League 2.
Mr Pritsas detailed the reasons that led him to this decision, speaking both about what has happened in the last few games in the league and on the board. the organizing authority.
His statement is:
“After today’s events in the games of Super League 2, which come as a continuation of the game – parody of the rival Herodotus and of course the last one – full of toxicity and sterile rivalry – board of the organizing authority, I find myself again in the very awkward situation, to announce my resignation from the position of 2nd Vice President of Super League 2.
When I was offered to join the board of Super League 2, I accepted with joy and honor for one reason only: to contribute with all my energies to solving the huge problems that have plagued the second in the professional Category.
Unfortunately, the troubles of these years are so vast and complicated that any sane and well-intentioned attempt to improve and advance Greek football is thwarted in its infancy.
I would like to take this opportunity to briefly mention our team. Kifissia represents the city we live in. The board has consisted of the same romantic Kifisians since the years when the team was at the amateur championships, most of whom have the pleasure of seeing their children play in the team that has played 15 consecutive years in the 3rd National League category, to make a championship without ever having given the slightest right.
Kifissia organized his academy with such professionalism and love for football that today it is considered a role model even by the traditionally great forces of Greek football.
Our goal and vision is to build our own identity in Greek football, attract healthy fans from the northern suburbs and under no circumstances become a satellite of any of the big teams.
Our financial obligations are always met on time by the shareholders of PAE, without having received or intending to receive any kind of support.
Unfortunately, some cannot perceive this, which means that we accept an ongoing war with unfair means.
This war weighs so heavily on us that we are now very worried about whether we should continue our hobby at the expense of family, private and professional life.
Finally, we are obliged to sincerely and publicly thank PAE Olympiacos for their impeccable behavior and hospitality towards our team’s mission in today’s game – with such intensity.”
