Athens Kallithea won the El Paso derby 2-1 in Kalamata with Bouloulis and Loukina scoring

Athens Kallithea took the lead with two goals from the first half and eventual victory, although in the second 45 minutes they held the final score 2-1 against Kalamata, giving the home side an important three points in the fight that gives way in the hunt for first place.

Giorgos Simos’ team rose to 5th in the southern group standings after those three points, while Kalamata fell to 6th with two games more.

The hosts got into the game better and threatened for the first time in the 19th minute when Demetrius shot across the crossbar and was blocked by Tairis. Four minutes later, Athens opened the scoring for Kallithea when Bouloulis headed in a cross from the right.

Before the end of the first half, more precisely in the 43rd minute, Kallithea made it 2:0. With new crosses from the right, Loukinas got into the path of the ball and pushed it into the net.

In the second half, the guests only managed to equalize in the 83rd minute through Alexandros Arnarelli with a penalty kick to make it 2-1. Kalamata ended the game with players due to Bakayoko’s second yellow card in the 85th minute.

Apollo Pontos the Macedonian easily

In the Northern Group game, which took place on Monday (16/01) at 12:00 CET, Apollon Pontou defeated Makedonikos 3-1, with the hosts being better throughout the match.
