An underage fan was arrested after an incident outside Kallithea Stadium
A juvenile defendant was arrested after the end of a football match held in Kallithea yesterday for violating the gun law. Seven wooden poles were confiscated.
Yesterday afternoon, after the end of the football match between Kallithea – Ilioupoli, which took place in the municipal stadium of Kallithea “Grigoris Lambrakis”, a group of about 25 people, Kallithea fans, whose features were covered by hoods and surgical masks, moved in near the field and holding wooden poles, writes NEWS24/7.
Police officers from the DI.AS team. They approached and immobilized a 15-year-old Albanian man, a member of the above group, who was holding four confiscated wooden poles.
The rest of the people attacked the police by throwing fireworks and fleeing in different directions. Three other wooden poles were found at the scene of the attack and confiscated with no injuries or damage to public property.
Trials against five people
After searches, 12 minors were located near the scene of the attack and were taken to the headquarters of the Sub-Directorate for Combating Violence in Sports Venues to have their identity checked.
Four of them were prosecuted for failing to issue a police ID card and were handed over to their guardians.
The sub-directorate for combating violence in sports facilities initiated proceedings against the 15-year-old for violating the Weapons Act. The arrested person was brought to the competent public prosecutor’s office with the case against him.
