EPO decision in favor of Super League 2 for betting tax money

The EPA issued a resolution in its announcement in favor of Super League 2 and the fight it is waging to get the money it originally agreed to.

The EPO issued a notice of the decisions of the Statutory General Assembly of Associations – Members. Among other things voted on was the passing of a resolution in favor of Super League 2 and the fight the teams are putting up to get what has been agreed regarding the taxation of the bet through the existing KYA.

At the same time, the donation of 30,000 euros to the EPS and the establishment of an association office in Thessaloniki were approved.

More specifically, the EPO notice states: The Statutory General Assembly of the member associations of the Hellenic Football Federation, held today in Thessaloniki, passed the following resolutions.

– With 53 votes in favour, and 1 abstention, it was decided to provide a statutory deadline of five days for EPO disciplinary bodies to issue decisions when the cases they consider are of a competitive nature and judge the results of games or affect the score. In addition, all pending court cases will be closed no later than June 30 of each year.

– It was unanimously decided to set up an EPO office in Thessaloniki at the premises of the Macedonian Football Federation, which will handle cases affecting the teams of Northern Greece.

– The payment of a grant totaling €30,000 to each football association in the country for 2023 was unanimously approved.

-At the request of Super League 2, it was decided by a majority (one abstention, one abstention) to adopt a resolution stating: “The Hellenic Football Federation supports the competition of Super League 2 teams and requests that the conditions be approved in relation to their funding based on the existing KYA will be complied with”.

– It was decided to send a letter to the Minister of Justice to amend the relevant provision and allow cases to be decided by disciplinary bodies based in Thessaloniki“.
