Gentsoglou signed with Makedonikos
Savvas Gentsoglou is also a Macedonian player. The 32-year-old midfielder has signed a six-month contract with an option to extend it by a further year.

The 32-year-old (19/09/1990) central midfielder has had a great career with appearances in Greek and Italian football, but also in a number of other countries. More specifically, his career began in the infrastructure departments and men’s team at AEK. Before establishing himself in the Union, he had been loaned first to Panachaiki and then to Nea Ionia.
The move to Italy followed in January 2012: Gentsoglou wore the shirt of Sampdoria (Serie A) and – on loan – Livorno and Spezia (Serie B). He also represented Bari in the Italian second division while having spent a season as a key member of Ergotelis in the Super League. A loan spell at Hajduk Split convinced the Croatians to buy the rights from Gentsoglou. In a total of two full seasons (62 appearances) with the Croatian club, the Kavaliotis midfielder proved that he can also be a creative midfielder, having provided a total of 10 assists and scored 2 goals.
A year and a half in Cyprus with APOEL followed, thanks to which he added a second title (Cyprus Championship) to his trophy cabinet after the Greek Cup (2011 with AEK). Then came his most recent experience abroad with the proposal of Al Andalah of Saudi Arabia, where he stayed for a year and a half before wearing PAS Lamia’s shirt on his return to Super League stadiums. He has made 25 league and cup appearances with the Fthiotida side.
Savvas Gentsoglou has been training with the Macedonian team for some time while he chose the number 33 for his ‘green’ jersey and signed a 6+12 months contract.
