Olympiakos B’s fine was reduced for abandoning the match against Athens’ Kallithea
The EPA Appeals Committee reformed Olympiakos B’s penalty for leaving the game against Athens’ Kallithea, reducing the fine. The rest of the penalties stayed the same.
The EPO Appeals Panel announced the decisions it had taken at its last meeting, at which it decided to amend the penalties imposed on Olympiakos B’ for being eliminated from the match against Athens’ Kallithea.
The -5 remained in effect for that season and the following season, as did the award of the game in favor of the Kallithea team, however the fine dropped from the originally decided 70 to 15,000 euros.
More specifically, the appeals committee’s announcement states: “The Hellenic Football Union Appeal Committee made the following decisions at its last meeting.
– Denial of PAE Episkopi’s appeal against Decision No. 19/2023 of the First Level Disciplinary Body for Super League 2 Individual Members and against PAE Apollon Smyrna. (Match of the 6th matchday, group B of the championship of the Super League 2 2022-2023: PAE Episkopi – PAE Apollo Smyrni on 12/12/2022).
-The appeal of PAE Olympiacos B against the decision 56/2023 of the Disciplinary Chamber of First Instance for Individual Members of Super League 2 was formally and partially accepted in substance.
He reformed the No. 56/2023 Decision of the Primary Disciplinary Body for Super League 2 Individual Members.
He fined PAE Olympiacos B for: a) losing the disputed match against the home team “ATHENS KALLITHEA FC”, which took place within the framework of the 7th matchday of the Super League 2 competition of the 2022-2023 season, with goals 0- 3, b) the deduction of five (5) points from the current (2022 – 2023) and five (5) points from the next (2023 – 2024) season and c) a fine of fifteen thousand (15,000) euros“.
