Athens Kallithea passed Ierapetra in Group B, Kalamata won the derby with Panachaiki

Athens’ Kallithea got past Ierapetra thanks to Matthias’ direct free-kick and continues to chase Kifisia in the battle for top spot. Kalamata won the Peloponnese derby, Ilioupoli defeated Herodotos away and Chania won the derby with Episkopi.

Athens’ Kallithea scored their third consecutive Super League 2 win as they defeated OFI 1-0 in Ierapetra on Matchday 18.

Javier Matias scored the golden goal for Giorgos Simos’ team in the 58th minute. The visitors missed a great opportunity to take the lead early in the game, but Bouloulis’ shot in the 40th minute was stopped by Kyritsis’ crossbar.

With this result, Athens Kallithea rose to 39 and reduced the gap to Kifisia to four with the same number of games, while OFI stayed at 29 points.

Kalamata won the Peloponnese derby

Kalamata achieved their third consecutive victory in the championship, defeating Panachaki 2-0 in “Kostas Davourlis”. Lupano scored the golden goal for the Messinians with a header in the second minute.

Both teams finished the game with ten players. Andreas Tatos was sent off for pushing with a direct red card in the 24th minute, with the Messinians protesting that the referee should have shown a yellow card.


In the second half, Panachaiki was down by ten players after Trimmatis was kicked out in the 64th minute. Kalamata sealed the double in the final with Alves in the 89th minute.

Panachaiki remained in fourth place with 32 points, while Kalamata reached 29 points, catching OF Ierapetras in the standings.

Chania won the derby with Episkopi

Chania returned to positive results as they defeated Episkopi 3-2 at home. Both teams went into the game furiously.

In the 4th minute, the hosts opened the scoring with Manali, three minutes later Kola scored the 2-0 with a shot. Episkopi cut the lead through Cricklow in the tenth minute and leveled before the end of the first half through Abafu in the 36th minute.

Chania fought for the three points and made it through to the final thanks to Iatroudi’s 83rd-minute goal. The Chaniotes have scored 25 points and feel secure about where they remain, unlike Episkopi who stays on nine.

Simple double of Ilioupolis in Herodotus

Ilioupoli achieved their second consecutive victory in the league as they defeated Herodotos 2-0, who was on the bench without a coach as Ilias Fyntanis’ contract was not officially terminated.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 46th minute with a Dimitriadis header, while the same player leveled the score in the 70th minute. In the 53rd minute, Hebert sent the ball against the post with a header and missed an opportunity to be named top scorer for Ilioupoli.

With this double, Ilioupoli rose to 26 points, while Herodotos remains in a very difficult position with -11 points.
