Niki Volou: “They called the organized cruiser attack the movement of individual fans”
The administration of Niki Volos, with its official announcement, attacks the Volos Police Department when it claims what happened in the game with AEL and caused the game to be abandoned.
The administration of Niki Volos, with its official announcement, attacks the Volos Police Department when it claims what happened in the game with AEL and caused the game to be abandoned.
“With great surprise we read today’s announcement of the General Directorate of the Regional Police of Thessaly about yesterday’s events in the game Niki Volou-AEL, which we think was interrupted very badly.
We would like AD Volos to answer the following questions because we really feel like we are in a different stadium:
– Why is there no mention of the 100 or so organized AEL supporters who were escorted out of the stadium in an organized manner (even though there was no authorization for an organized movement from the start)?
– How come they forcibly entered the stadium in the 40th minute of the game and pushed back the staff of the stadium’s private security company and the police officers who stood at the door without any check for the rightful possession of tickets? with full face masks, with flashlights, smoke generators, glass beer bottles and crowbars?
– Why is there no mention of the 100 or so organized AEL fans who threw at friends of the home team and the police inside the pitch and peristyle – flares, smoke bombs, stones, pieces of cement, glass bottles etc., iron siphons?
Didn’t we see well in that too? Or did our fans cause them too?
Because, at our request to remove at halftime the game those who had absolutely nothing to do with the movement of “individual” fans, we have expressly and categorically declared for a week that we reject any presence in this game of organized fans who person responsible for the implementation of the measures defiantly indifferent?
“Why should we clear the booth? What are they doing”, he answered us characteristically, completing the myth: “They tell us how to do it”. As citizens, let us show the way to evacuate a booth with 100 people!
On the other hand, after the enormous commitment of its management, NIKI made sure that the 2,000 friends of its team left immediately! We did everything that was asked of us and more than that, and we didn’t whistled indifferently on the platforms like others did …
The only person who decides the fate of the game is the game referee and he asked us to clear the field and we did as we had to because we only wanted one thing: THAT THE GAME CONTINUE!
Should the police answer us because it has been defiantly claimed that there is no way the 100 or so organized AEL fans could be confined to the top or brought into the horseshoe peristyle for the game to continue? Instead, they were left undisturbed in the square for an hour and a half after the evacuation, cursing and throwing objects in all directions.
The rich audiovisual material – videos, photos and audios that is available to us and that absolutely confirms the above, AD Volos is available should it wish to complete or change today’s false and false announcement. Otherwise he will have to answer us anyway and prove to us, both to us and to Panhellenium, that the material we are citing and what we experienced yesterday is not reality but a product of our imagination.
We always comply with legality and regulation – even when the obvious is used against us, and we always accept our fair share of responsibility.
It goes without saying that we condemn and combat all forms of violence on and off the pitch. But we inform everyone that we will not present the Easter lamb that is sacrificed again so that some people can have a happy Easter at the expense of our team. In 2019 they forced us to do the same unacceptable task in the Neapolis vs. Aegaleo game. We are not ready to repeat it – at least without protest and without the responsibility of everyone involved.
BAPTIZE THE ORGANIZED DISASTER ATTACK A MOVEMENT OF INDIVIDUAL PHILATHLES
NONE OF US CAN ACCEPT THIS TOO!
Q1.: Since when do the police escort individual fans?
PG 2nd: What should we believe the Decalogue of PAE AEL what they say? From the first paragraph they deny having taken the stand despite having the signature of PAE AEL’s safety officer”.

Finally, Simos from the Ionian Bank
Giorgos Simos has left the technical leadership of Ionikos since Wednesday (21/12), with the Nice team’s administration announcing the end of cooperation between the two teams.
Giorgos Simos took over from Ionikos at the start of the season but did not stay at the helm for more than a few months as the Blues’ management announced on Wednesday (21/12) their decision for the two teams to part ways.
“I would like to thank the entire Ionikos family who made me feel like I was a part of it from day one. Of course I would like to thank the players, my partners and the people in the team.”
I wish you all the best, only success and the fulfillment of all your goals”said Giorgos Simos, turning to Ionikos’ family.
“PAE Ionikos announces the mutual agreement to work with coach Giorgos Simos. The coach took over the team at a difficult time, with four tickets fighting to get back on their feet and reach the top of Super League 2, with the only goal being promotion to the first division.
Ionikos’ family feels the need to warmly thank George Simos for the ethics and professionalism he has demonstrated throughout. “Trainers, we wish you health and much personal and professional success,” says the Nice team’s announcement about the end of the collaboration with Simos.
It is noted that after 12 games in the 2nd group of Super League 2, Ionikos is in 6th place and has accumulated 19 points, five less than leaders Athens Kallithea.
