Kouya’s Emotion Upon Entering Hercules: “I’m Returning Home”

Alexis Kougias did not hide his joy at his return to Heraklion, emphasizing among other things that he is returning home.

Alexis Kougias, together with Stratos Eugeniou, gave a press conference at Thessaloniki City Hall, in which he indicated his entry into the administration of Heracles.

Stratos Evgeniou also analyzed the management plan together with Alexis Kougia, while Tom Papadopoulos will also contribute to the management structure. The goal is the return of “Geraiou” to the Stoiximan Super League, as both stressed.

Among other things, Alexis Kougias said at the press conference: Today is a very happy day for me, I’m going home. Here are some who are my brothers. Nikos Barbas, I see Petros Petridis’ son, people with whom we have shared more sorrow than joy for at least ten years. I remember we lost the trophy with OFI and walked to the Marriott with the late Petros Theodoridis. At this point, he didn’t hide his emotions and continued to say.

“Tom Papadopoulos called me and told me to talk about Hercules. The world of football is huge now, in a very bad combination where there is only money. Football is used by everyone for different reasons and this card contains also Hercules.

But now it belongs to an honest man, Stratos Eugeniou, against a criminal organization. What else can I say when I hear Beos giving his opinions on football? When Pydna Kitrous is the sixth team in the Super League there are no words. Iraklis is one of the most unfair teams, they were relegated for no reason.

There are 34 teams in Super League 2, but those that have an owner are counted on their fingers. It is a great honor for me that Evgeniou proposes me as president of the team, Hercules will destroy football! It is not possible that all Greek villages like Platanias and Volos play in the Super League and Iraklis plays in the second division.

Our Hercules will not fail again and we will all take care of it. The category needs a budget of around 1.5 million with a turnover of 57,000. Iraklis will be the operating model that will work on clean money, our team is the elite of Thessaloniki. We want to believe that in a year we have made Mikra the city’s reference point, because if you don’t clean your house, you won’t move forward.

We will also help Heracles with basketball because we are a family and I’m proud of that. We have difficult legal parts to deal with, so we have a fight ahead of us. Once we win the championship you will see what we can do.

There’s also the matter of Kavtantzoglio that we need to deal with… Mastery. Let’s also wish PAOK to build own stadium and Aris if he wants to build one. Of course, we also want to have the world next to us that is special and stands out.

We are at a difficult turning point, we have a great coach Sakis Tsiolis and we will fight for promotion. Our goal is the return of Herakles to the Oberliga. I’ve been thinking about having free entry to the stadium until the end of the year. We are sure that Sunday will once again have the color of Hercules“.

Stratos Evgeniou also took the floor, who, among other things, analyzed the operational plan of Heraclis with the entry of Kouyas into the administration of Geraios: “We fought a lot in these two years, it was very difficult, we felt lonely but we didn’t give up, so it’s time for this team to take the next step. This next step will come with the participation of Alexis Kougia and Papadopoulos.

We’ll be the same, 33% each. I will keep 34% for obvious reasons because I don’t want any capital increase without my approval. There is an approach that will be reflected in a contract in the next two days. There’s nothing we agree on, so I don’t think there’s a problem with what we want to do. We agreed with Mr. Kouya on how the team will work.

You take care of the competitive part of the team and I take care of the financial part. I will try to supervise so we don’t fall into old problems that we had. Many people react to everything they hear about Hercules. We are in a position right now, in a phase of no return. There was no better solution, I think it’s a very good solution by Kouyas and Papadopoulos. So I think the samples will be of the appropriate type“.
