Alekos Vosniadis on Sportish about the monument announcing his release from Apollon: “The President is absolutely right”
Apollon Smyrnis fired Alekos Bosniadis with a sharp announcement, after which the 62-year-old coach gave his own answer in a statement to Sportish.
Apollon Smyrnis was defeated 4-2 by Ilioupoli in an upset for Super League 2 Group 2. Immediately thereafter, the Light Brigade issued a memorial announcement firing their trainer, Alekos Vosniadis. In this announcement, he references the coach’s excuses, but concludes that he is unmotivated in representing the pro.
The Sportish contacted the former Apollo trainer to comment on the announcement. For his part, Bosniadis stressed that the President was absolutely right.
“The President is absolutely right, thank you for the honor of inviting me back to work at Apollo.” expressly stated.
Apollon Smyrnis hired Alekos Bosniadis for his third term on the Light Brigade bench in February 2023. In his ten games during this period he had five wins, three draws and two losses.
We remember Apollon Smyrna’s announcement:
“In the modern history of our team we have never seen them lead 2-0 and then concede four goals. That has never happened with Apollon.”
Our coach’s apology that footballers had no motivation has now convinced us that our footballers and coaches are only motivated by when and how they get paid.
Because we are fed up with the excuses – one was that the boat bothered the coach when he said the team should go to Crete by plane, the other was that he didn’t mind going to Kalamata the same day – we interrupt we our cooperation with him.
The remaining members of the coaching staff remain with the team, which is looking for a coach.
Everyone forgets that they play in Super League 2, an amateur class that only has expenses and that represents the professionals with little motivation.”
