Kougias: “I withdraw my interest in Heracles, it arises with the fall of Maras”

Alexis Kougias announced in his announcement that he was withdrawing his interest in Heracles, who he says is in danger of disappearing from the map after his defeat in the Mara case.

Through a written statement/notification he has submitted, Alexis Kougias has announced that he is withdrawing his interest in purchasing the majority stake in PAE PO. Triglia “Herakles” following the Arbitration Court’s decision to acquit Bogdan Mara from paying the accrued wages of up to €200,000.

In the published statement, Alexis Kougias speaks of a precedent that is now being set for similar cases related to the PAU of Heraklis from the time when Antonis Remos was president.

Kuya’s Announcement:

“As is known, together with the Greek-American businessman Tom Papadopoulos, we have asked the owner PO Triglia “O Heracles”, Mr. Efstratios Evgeniou, to acquire 66% of his shares so that by combining our financial capabilities with him we can build the historical Hercules restore it to where it naturally belongs: in Super League 1.

Although our proposal was initially accepted and publicly announced in a solemn event under the auspices of the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Konstantinos Zervas and with the participation of important figures of Thessaloniki, it was finally rejected by Mr. Efstratios Evgeniou, who withdrew and proposed that we are buying 100% of his shares instead of 66%, at an exorbitant price and effectively repayable until 12/31/2023, effectively annulling the purchase and sale and our share capital holding together with Mr. Papadopoulos.

Last week I had two contacts with Mr Evgeniou, the last one was yesterday where I was in Thessaloniki for work commitments and the possibility of co-owning 50%-50% of his shares was discussed as Tom Papadopoulos ultimately did not wish to participate.

Unfortunately, the EPO Arbitral Tribunal, chaired by the Appeals President Mr Maroudis, today dismissed the appeal against its previous decision effectively compensating all footballers of PAE Iraklis who had failed to collect their agreed fees, as PAE’s owner Antonis Remos was after defending footballer Mara, who is demanding the payment of €200,000 and more in accrued wages that were never paid to him from the property owned by Antonis Remos PAE Iraklis, a decision binding on all footballers who played in the PAE Iraklis on the property of Antonis Remou, but also for footballers who also played in the PAEs that appeared later and to the present day, who used as badges the brand and name of the PAEs that were confiscated in the area confiscated past and will be liquidated and using the brand and name of Iraklis and the PAE PO is expected in the future. Triglia “Heracles” is said to be obliged to repay, as in the case of Mara, amounts that can potentially exceed €5,000,000, which the owner or owners of PAE PO are now being asked to pay. Triglia “Heracles”.

Due to this development, my interest and the interest of Mr. Tom Papadopoulos are lost and my personal assessment is that with what I believe to be the wrong decision of the EPO Arbitral Tribunal, for which I categorically state that the legal claims of my colleagues Mr. .K. Hatziioannou and Birda, who took care of it legally, were impeccable in the material and legal part, the PO Triglia dissolves and football Heracles disappears from the football map of Greece, since no honest investor will be willing to buy the shares of a PAE SuperLeague 2 buy, even the size of Heracles, as they will be required to compete in SuperLeague 2 with no income. not exceeding 200,000 euros to pay dozens of soccer players who competed without pay from the earlier PAEs with the logo and name “Heracles”.

Unfortunately, the illegal conduct of all PAE owners who followed PAE Heraklis is owned by Petros Theodoridis, in whom I had the honor of serving as Deputy President and as its representative Vice President of EPAE for a decade when Heraklis managed and winning a Championship and a cup and departure to Europe means that football Hercules disappears from the Greek football map and After this development, everyone who led us to the exit should look in the mirror and be ashamed.

PS Unfortunately, today’s court decision of the arbitral tribunal is, in my legal opinion, final for all PAEs that have been dissolved due to financial problems and should be reasonably concerned from today by PAE AEK, PAE ARIS, PAE PANIONIOS, PAE PANACHAIKI, PAE OFI and other important forces of the Greek soccer

With appreciation and respect

Alexis X Kougias,

Athens 05/17/2023”.
