Developments in Heraklion are rapid as on Friday a meeting took place between PAE’s major shareholder Stratos Evgeniou and Erasitehnis President Fotis Theos to hand over the team’s shares to him, while Kougias and Papadopoulos withdrew their interest in the team.
The relevant announcement on Heracles’ website states:
“After a meeting held at the offices of GS Heraklis in Mikra in the presence of the main shareholder of POTPOT lawyers representing former football players, it was decided:
After the disastrous decision for POT Hercules that vindicated footballer Bogtan Mara (during Antonis Remo’s tenure), the debts that may arise from footballers’ claims regarding previous PAE (Antonis Remo and Thodorou Papadopoulos/Spyros Papathanasakis) are irrecoverable.
Especially for a PAE that competes in Super League 2, where the turnover in no case exceeds 200,000 euros per year.
Stratos Eugeniou and Alexios Kougias are Greek citizens with obvious occupations and taxable income and it is impossible to legally cover even footballers’ claims, which are deducted from the total amount required.
Following this development, Mr. Stratos Eugeniou sold the shares in POT Hercules in GS Iraklis and to Photios Theos, with the explicit declaration that he is no longer involved in PAE POT. Hercules in every way.
Following Stratos Evgeniou’s position, Alexios Kougias stated that both he and Tom Papadopoulos withdraw any involvement in the purchase of 66% of PAE POT’s shares. Hercules”.
