Kifissia – Chania 0-3: Cretans won in Zirinio and Athens Kallithea smiles
Chania forced Kifissia to their first defeat in two months as they won 3-0 at Zirinio and caused a setback in the top flight as Athens’ Kallithea moved up to two points.
Kifisia lost 3-0 to Chania in Zirinio and is now feeling the breath of Athens’ Kallithea, who are now two points adrift with three games remaining before the Super League 2 Group B final.
In the first half, Kifisia was the one who had the initiative in the moves, but neither team managed to score and both sides went into the dressing room tied at 0-0.
Chania managed to ‘shock’ Giorgos Petrakis’ side with two goals in the second half. First, in the 55th minute, Bourselis sent the ball in with a narrow shot after Manali’s turn.
The second came in the 79th minute from Kola, who found himself in the right position after Manali’s shot was blocked by the Kifissia defenders and sent the ball into the net from close range.
Yiannis Tausianis’s team added the icing on the cake when Manalis sent the ball into the net in injury time to make it 3-0. Chania rose to 44 points and fifth place.
