Niki Volou won the appeal for the match with AEL
Niki Volou has been upheld in her appeal against the suspension of the game against AEL and will be refunded a point, while the ‘red’ victory on paper 3-0 is void and the organizer has to decide the fate the game.
Niki Volou has been upheld by the Appeals Committee in her appeal against the suspension of the AEL match and the first instance decision.
Following the decision of the Court of Appeal, they will be returned a point they were deprived of, while the “red” victory on paper 3-0 is void and the organizer will have to decide the fate of the game.
The decision of the EPO’s Appeals Committee states:
“THE The EPO Appeals Committee made the following decision at its most recent meeting.
Accepts formally and partially in substance the appeal of 05/04/2023 by PAE Niki Volou against the Appellant PAE AEL and against the final decision No. 114/04/21/2023 of the Primary Single Disciplinary Chamber of SL2.
Reforms the so-called 114/2023 decision of the Single Disciplinary Chamber exclusively in the part where it accepted the intervention of PAE AEL and consequently subject the appellant to disciplinary control for the disciplinary violation of Article 21 para. 3 II a, b, c of CAP.
He rejects the intervention of PAE AEL.
Liberates PAE Niki Volou from penalty of losing the match between PAE AEL and himself as home team played on 04/07/2023 at Panthessaliko Stadium for Super League 2 championship by a score of 0-3 with a further fine 4,000 euros and deduction of one (-1) point from the scoreboard.
It resets the total fine imposed on PAE Niki Volou and imposes a total fine of 28,250 euros.”
