AEL clinched the three points 2-1 over Niki Volos two months later to finish second

The course of the game between Niki Volos and AEL went through thousands of waves. On April 7, the game was stopped in the 49th minute due to incidents between the fans of the two teams. Initially, the Maroons won the game on paper, but Niki was confirmed by the EPO’s Appeals Committee and the game was decided to be played again.

It took place on June 20th in another stadium (the city stadium of Neapolis Volos) and the result remained the same as Panthessalikos (1-2). In that game, the hosts took the lead in the 18th minute through Giora, but AEL stopped the game with two goals from Ogboe in the 41st and 45th+3. minute upside down.

In the remaining 40 minutes or so (play resumed from the 49th minute), both teams had chances to score, with AEL coming closest to scoring when Thomaidis’ attempt was stopped by Bayich’s post in the 55th minute.

With this result, AEL remained in second place and Niki Volou was third.
