Kifissia announced on Thursday (6/29) at 12 noon that he had started working with Yiannis Anastasiou, who succeeded Giorgos Petrakis.

Giannis Anastasiou has officially been the new coach of Kifissia since Thursday (June 29th). The team that will compete in the new season in the Stoiximan Super League announces the start of their cooperation.

The announcement of Kifissia:

“PAE Kifisia announces the start of cooperation with the coach, Mr. Yannis Anastasiou.

Giannis Anastasiou was born on March 5, 1973. Recommendations for his career and his path in football are superfluous.

After all, he is one of the most experienced coaches in the Super League with 164 games.

Yannis Anastasiou began his coaching career as a member of the Panathinaikos technical staff for a year and a half. He then moved to the Netherlands to join Ajax’s second team before working at Reading.

In the summer of 2013 he took over the technical management of Panathinaikos, with whom he celebrated winning the Greek Cup a few months later. He worked at Panathinaikos for around two and a half years before leaving on November 2, 2015. During that time, he guided them to 117 games in Greece and Europe.

The following season he sat on the bench at Ronda (2016/17) while he worked at Kortrijk in 2017/18. In the summer of 2018 he moved to Cyprus on behalf of Omonia Nicosia, while subsequently taking over the technical management of Atromitos.

In the last two years (2021-23) he has been on the bench of Panaitolikos with whom he has had a very good presence in the Stoiximan Super League Championship.

All of us at PAE Kifissia are particularly excited to welcome Yannis Anastasiou, an experienced and amazing coach, as our team competes in the Stoiximan Super League Championship for the first time.

We welcome him to the Kifissia family and wish him health, happiness and much success.”
