Kalamata’s player is by all accounts Jeronimo Barales, with the Argentine forward signing with Black Storm for the next two years.

On Wednesday (June 28th) Asteras announced the end of his collaboration with Hieronimos Barales after six years. The 36-year-old Argentinian striker immediately found the next step in his career.

Specifically, Kalamata announced its acquisition and Barales signed for the next two years.

Kalamata’s announcement in detail

“PAE Kalamata announce the acquisition of Argentine forward Juan Geronimo Barrales, who has signed a two-year contract. A footballer who gave his qualifiers in Greece wearing the jersey of Asteras Tripoli and Lamia with great success.

He was born in Argentina on January 28th, 1987 and is 1.86 meters tall. Before coming to Greece, he wore the jerseys of Atlético Huracan, Banfield, Standard Liège and Sivaspor. From 2013 to 2015 and from 2020 to 2023 he played for Asteras Tripoli where he scored 59 goals. In the 2014–2015 season, he was the Super League’s top scorer with 17 goals.

We welcome him to the Black Storm family. We hope that he is healthy and gives a lot of goals to the opponents in the Super League 2 championship.”
