Nikos Nioplias is Levadeakou’s new coach

Nikos Nioplias is officially the new Levadeaikos manager and will support the Boeotians in their bid to return to the Stoiximan Super League.

Levadeakos announced his recruitment Nicos Nioplia and the new season in Super League 2 will start with the 58-year-old technician returning to the bench after his second spell at OFI.

In the past he has had success on the Panathinaikos bench, celebrating doubles, at Atromitos, at the Youth and Hope Nationals and with the Cyprus national team.

He is a highly qualified technician, one of the leading football players in Greece, with a great career and a long career both as a football player and as a coach.

Born on 01/17/1965 in Kozani, he began his professional career at OFI, where he played in two different periods (1983-1993, 1996-2002), while wearing the jersey of Panathinaikos in between (1993-1996). Completion of his career at Chalcedon (2002-04). During his career as a player he won two championships (with Panathinaikos) and three cups (one with OFI and two with Panathinaikos) and made 510 appearances for the first national team.

Of course, he also had a great presence in the Greek national team (44 caps/1 goal) as he was a member of the team that took part in the 1994 World Cup in America, while he appeared with the Elpidon national team in the final of the 1988 European Championship.

As a coach, his first stop was with the national youth team (U19), which he even led to the final of the European Youth Championship in Austria in 2007. He was then “promoted” to the national team of hope (U21). Halfway through the 2009-2010 season, take over the Panathinaikos bench and lead them to doubles.

He then coached the Cyprus national team for two years (2011–13), then took charge of Atromitos (2015–16), followed by two more tenures on the OFI bench (2016–17 and 2021–22).
