AEK B’ – Herodotus 3-1: Historical dominance for the Union in Seraphid
The hosts scored three goals with Efthymis Christopoulos, Iatroudis and Giousi, while Chalkiadakis had reduced the lead to 2-1 for the Cretans. AEK ended the match down one player due to Parras being sent off.
AEK was better throughout the game and wanted to clear the game early in front of their fans and in their “natural” home, something the team’s coach asked for “Mr. Stelios” to do just before his players took the field play “.
In the 14th minute Kornezos’ header went wide after a foul by Youssi. Five minutes later, Iatroudis stole the ball, passed Crossa and shot wide with the ball. The last phase of the first part belonged to AEK again, with Gerolemou giving Giousis, who was out of place.
In the 53rd minute of the game, it was Judas Garcia who opened the parallel pass from the right with Efthymis Christopoulos from the top of the small area and scored a historic goal, the first in Seraphideio.
Five minutes later, AEK made it 2-0 when Gerolemou met Iatroudis and placed Crossa to give his team a two-goal lead.
In the 64th minute of the game, the visitors managed to shorten the gap with Chalkiadakis and a little later AEK B’ was down a player when Parras was sent off.
AEK still had the initiative despite the numerical disadvantage, squandering a chance with Judas Garcia in the 76th minute but making it 3-1 in the first minute of delays with Youssi after a Garcia pass.
