Unpaid Super League 2 referees against EPO: “You should be ashamed, you haven’t been paid for two years”
Super League 2’s unpaid referees will take legal action against EPO and the teams who owe them, they announced in a letter.
Several of Super League 2’s referees have remained unpaid for two years and they are preparing to take legal action against both the EPO and the teams that owe them, their letter said.
The letter in detail:
“Shame! They should really be ashamed of treating referees like third class citizens.
For two years you have not paid any money to the referees, assistant referees and referee observers of the Superleague 2 of the second professional league, although you normally collect the expenses from the teams.
The referees should have been paid before the games started because they advertise that they implement the CAP but instead keep their money for other purposes.
Mr President, when we met you promised us that you would pay the referees with the money you get from UEFA. They got the money but it went somewhere else!!! The referees are still receiving!
Too bad again! We call on all referees who have received money to immediately report this to the links assigned to them so that we can take legal action against both the EPO and the teams in debt.
Your,
For the Board / ED – ODPE
President Giannadakis Emmanuel
Secretary General Karamanis Georgios”.
