AEL: Kougia has complained to the EPA about Apollon Larissa – Veria

PAE AEL, through its leader Alexis Kougia, filed a complaint with the EPA regarding the result of the game of the 33rd game in the 1st group of Super League 2 between Apollon Larissa and Veria.

The guests prevailed 1-0 and secured first place in the group with these “three points”, with AEL denouncing the manipulation of the game and requesting a suspension of the rating.

initiate disciplinary proceedings against the two FCs which, according to UEFA, staged the above match.

With the same lawsuit, PAE AEL protests because to date, while a criminal case is being drawn up, which is being processed by order of the institutions of Greece and UEFA, the Prosecutor of the Larissa Court of Appeal and the Director of Training & Education of Prosecutors at the National School, Mr. Stamatis Daskalopoulos and by order of the chief of the Larissa prosecutor, Mr Tzamalis, none of the EPA institutions have been activated to investigate this sordid case, even though the Super League championships are coming to an end. 1 and Super League 2 and there is an imminent risk of validation of the Super League 1 and Super League 2 First Group playout results in which the contested PAEs participate and consequently risk of imminent harm to both PAE AEL, the is in second place and maintains its promotion after the sure conviction of PAE VEROIA in UEFA, as well as PAE of the first group of Super League 2, who after the sure conviction during UEFA of Apollon Larissa are asking to stay as for these two PAE the degradation penalty is provided.

Our company and its President personally condemn the commission of the offenses set out in Articles 27 (Predicting the Result of a Game for Betting Purposes) and 29 (Effects of Match Fixing) of the EPO Code of Ethics in connection with the offense of “Bribery – Bribery for Altering the Result of a Game” pursuant to Article 132 of the EPO Law 2725/1999 relating to the Super League 2 football match that took place on 3/13/2022 between the teams PAE APOLLON LARISSA – PAE VERIA and ended with a score of 0-1.

As became known in particular on 04/16/2022 from an article in the respected Thessalian newspaper “ELEFTHERIA” with a daily circulation of 25,000 sheets, from 03/17/2022 a confidential report on the above football match was sent by UEFA to The EPO, as well as it was found to be a “very suspicious live bet” to lose the home team in the first half and a “highly suspicious live bet” to score two goals in the first half. The EPO then allegedly simply forwarded the report to the Deputy Minister for Sport, the Chair of Parliament’s Educational Affairs Committee, the Prosecutor for Sport and the National Platform for Sport Integrity

Subsequently, as has been made public, there was an intervention by the Head of the Larissa Appeal Prosecutor’s Office and the Director of Education and Training of Prosecutors at the National School of Judicial Officers, Mr. Stamatis Daskalopoulos, for the above fight and how I was contacted by , is everything published by the above reputable newspaper is a reality and at the moment the Attorney General of Larissa and a distinguished prosecutor of the Court of First Instance, Mr. Apostolos Tzamalis, is investigating an urgent crime on his orders.

As the Super League 2 championship ends on May 1st 2022, the organizing authority will then have to proceed with the validation of the tables to determine the draws of the two champions of the two groups, from the results of which it will be decided which team goes directly to the Super League 1 rise and give new ties with the penultimate team of Super League 1.

Because we have a direct legal interest from the investigation – negotiation of our complaint today, since we have been in second place in the table with a very large gap to the third team for months and theoretically even claim first place, since there are two games left and our distance to Veria is only 5 points.

Because if we find out what we are complaining about today, PAE AEL wins first place, relegated to PAE APOLLON LARISSA and PAE VEROIA, a fact that makes all PAE claiming their residency against Apollon L a direct legal interest to have.

Given that, despite the publication of this unlawful conduct by PAE APOLLON LARISSA and PAE VERIA, we have left an extremely negative impression by what we consider to be a willful failure to inform the competent authorities of the EPO about this very serious criminal and disciplinary case, the involvement at the most official Wise of UEFA, but mainly the Larissa Appellate Prosecutor’s Office and its Chief Mr. Daskalopoulos, who hierarchically presides over the Head of the EPO Football Crimes Prosecution Office, Mr. Konstantinos Spyropoulos, who should have the rank of Chief, the absolute priority of the institutions of the EPO, if in fact even at the slightest announcement of PAE AEL the spokesman of the EPA Sotirios Triantafyllou in cooperation with the Executive Director of the EPA Iakovos Filippoussis hastens to inform the Deputy Chief of Staff Spyropoulos and his Deputy Mr. Nick Margariti so that with summary proceedings st being prosecuted even though they didn’t show this behavior, although it was natural to show it, in this “carbine” breach that has as a sanction the direct relegation of two Super League 2 clubs.

1.- Contact the Larissa Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Head of the Larissa Public Prosecutor’s Office responsible for criminal investigations, Mr. Tzamalis, to request copies of the criminal case file prepared.

2.- Contact the relevant bodies at UEFA to be informed directly by them of what they have disclosed and then send them to the above authorities.

3.- Take all the measures required by law, the Statute and the Rules of Procedure of the EPO to immediately investigate the above case and to discipline and punish the groups involved.

AND WE DECLARE that in the event that no investigation is ordered today by the institutions of the EPO with the simultaneous update of Super League 2 to suspend the validation of the score, both in the position of champion of the Northern Group and in the positions that result in demotion, we will take action against anyone in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Code and the Civil Code.
