Diagoras – Athens Kallithea 2:1: The Rhodians set up a roadblock and got close to the top
Diagoras Rodou beat Athens Kallithea 2-1 at home to stay at the top of Super League 2 Group B, sending Alekos Bosniadis’ team second.
Athens Kallithea crashed out in Rhodes as they were beaten 2-1 by Diagoras in the opening game of Super League 2 matchday 10.
Thomas Grafa’s team came into the game strongly and took the lead in the eighth minute through Ignatovic, the halftime score was 1-0. In the second half, Manias made it 2-0 with a header in the 69th minute.
Athens Kallithea settled for Loukinas’ header in the 88th minute. Diagoras climbed to 16 points (temporarily third) and Athens Kallithea remained on 20, two points behind Chania, which led the race with 22 points.
