The Super League 2 announced on the occasion of the violent incidents in Rentis and emphasized, among other things, that all authorities had to pull together and find solutions so that our fellow human beings no longer had to be sent to the stadium.

With its announcement, the Super League 2 asks the responsible bodies to all sit down at the table so that incidents like the volleyball game between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos do not occur again in Greek sport, in which a police officer is in serious danger.

At the same time, he emphasizes that the league, as a cooperative, is a supporter of all measures aimed at combating violence.

The Super League 2 announcement in detail: Although Super League 2 is making great efforts to eliminate violent phenomena in the stadiums of our category and has managed to record no cases in this year’s season, the fear of another tragedy in Greek sport cannot leave us indifferent.

Hoping that our society will not experience another tragedy and that the police officer who was injured in the sad incidents on the sidelines of the Olympiakos-Panathinaikos derby for the League Cup will win the battle he is waging, our thoughts are first with his family and then with the responsibility that we all have to turn the Greek stadiums into venues again.

At some point we have to stop being afraid. At some point we all have to come together and find solutions. No matter how painful they are. In anticipation of the announcements by the Prime Minister and the Greek government on the fight against violence in Greek sport, we invite all relevant bodies to finally sit down honestly at the table in order to stop taking our fellow human beings with us on weekends (but now too). (on our weekdays) in the intensive care unit of a hospital.

Of course, as a cooperative we support every measure that goes in this direction. There are no other edges“.
