Herodotos – Panathinaikos B ‘0-0: Draw in Crete

The game between Herodotos and Panathinaikos B’ in Crete ended in a goalless draw, with the Greens ending the game with ten players in 40′ due to Marathonitis’s dismissal.

The 14th game of Super League 2 between Herodotos and Panathinaikos ended in a draw on Saturday afternoon in Crete. The Greens fought for fifty minutes with ten players after Marathonitis was sent off in the 40th minute and kept a clean sheet at home until the end.

First, the hosts threatened, right in the 2nd minute with a shot from Hadjisavvas, which was blocked by Christogeorgos. In the 7th minute, Panathinaikos had their first good moment with a misplaced Tsirigotis.

Herodotos threatened again in the 19th minute, but Panathinaikos’s defense cornered Vrettos’ shot. Records in the game changed in the 40th minute when Marathonitis received the second yellow card and the Greens were left with 10.

As in the first part, Herodotus threatened in the second part with a shot from Katidis and a high-flying ball. In the 51st minute, Tsirigotis’ shot went a bit wide.

In the 57th minute, Herotodos was able to open the opening goal Katidis-Chatzisavvas cooperated well but the latter failed. His shot also missed Guinea on the second ray at 67.

In the 87th minute, Athanasakopoulos committed a direct foul from the side and left, with the ball going slightly wide. Three minutes later, Panathinaikos counterattacked, with Theocharis placing Loutriotis and Gomez on the line in a period when the greens protested the ball crossing the line.

The Cretans in the delays with Kortsam and Chalkiadakis threatened but could not defeat Christogeorgos.
