Egaleo won the K20 Championship in Super League 2, defeating Kifissia 2-1

Egaleo won the title of K20 Champion of Super League 2 by beating Kifissia 2-1 on Sunday night in a beautiful final between the two teams that was decided in overtime.

The two teams that suffered just one defeat in the grand final clinched the trophy at El Paso’s stadium for 120 minutes, with City eventually being the team to score with one goal in 112 minutes of play, to reach 2-1 who ultimately judged the showdown.

The game started with Kifissia scoring the first goal with Gantzoulas, but the goal was disallowed because the ball went out of bounds on Flokos’ attempted cross. Egaleo took the lead in the 24th minute as Vassilis Raftopoulos beat Daskalakis with beautiful individual energy.

Starting the second part and specifically in 47′, Kifissia scored in 47′ but Demostheniadis was wrongly flagged for offside. The Northern Suburbs team eventually managed to draw against Flokos in 76 minutes, with the game going into overtime.

In the 101st minute, Kifissia touched the excitement, but didn’t succeed. Koutsoupas made the powerful shot across the box, which landed on the crossbar. The title was finally judged after the well-aimed Egaleo penalty at 112 minutes into the game, as there was no other major moment recorded in the final in the remaining minutes.
