Dermitzakis: “We wronged ourselves, Veria played along”

Veria drew 1-1 at Lamia and thus missed promotion to the first division. Pavlos Dermitzakis, in his statements to COSMOTE TV after the end of the game, stressed that his team wronged themselves while being the one playing the ball.

Dermitzakis’ statements in detail:

For the game: “First of all, I want to congratulate Lamia for staying in the category. For my team, I think we’re a very good side. In the barrages, we wronged ourselves because of the image. We tried really hard, for one more game we were very good, we were up on the score, but unfortunately football punishes you.

Congratulations to our entire organization. We’ve had an exemplary team all year, that’s a legacy for the future. A team with morals and footballing dignity. We thank the people who are our great happiness, which stands next to us after years.

As a picture, in both games, my team was the one who played the ball. I see it with my own eyes. If you’re a team trying to play good football, you have to get what you deserve. Many coaches say that you have to win these games and not play them. We haven’t learned not to play well, we’re a quality team. Unfortunately we didn’t get what we deserved. I want to believe that this team has a future because we are all doing everything we can to get the team where it deserves.”

For what the President of Lamia told him: “The President of Lamia told me not to meet again in such a process. Because on a day like this, after a month of abstinence, we will be playing games that will judge our future. It is something that is understood by all of us. I wished him luck.”
