Super League 2 president Leonidas Leoutsakos expressed his hope that Veria will be the last team to play in the playoffs, characterizing Calvary.

Leonidas Leoutsakos, in his statement on the promotion/suspension games, expressed his hope that the Super League teams will vote for the second category and demand the direct promotion of two teams from Super League 2.

The statements of Leoutsakos in detail:

“Throughout the season, up to the last minute of the year in Lamia, Super League 2 has tried in every possible way to highlight the blatant injustice of our teams’ Super League 1 promotion system.

An injustice that forces a group champion to concede two double draws and not directly secure their place in the senior category.

A team must win the championship in its group in a 34-team championship and play again in the same category as last year.

The two draws between Veria and Lamia made the problem even more real. Several SL1 presidents are now stigmatizing this fact. We hope that they will vote for us in time and demand the direct promotion of our two teams.

We have to give our warmest congratulations to PAE NPS Veria who proved in the two games with Lamia that they can be worthy in Super League 1. She excelled and deserved the promotion. Let it be the last group to experience this Golgotha”.
