Kifissia: “The renovation in Zirineio is absolutely necessary with as few interventions as possible”
PAE Kifissia issued a statement referring to the interventions made at the Municipal Stadium by Ioannis Zirinis to widen the pitch.
With its announcement, PAE Kifissia referred to the changes that will be made in the Municipal Stadium of Ioannis Zirinis, emphasizing that the change with the least amount of intervention is absolutely necessary.
The statements of Kifissia in detail:
“In order to restore the truth and in light of what has come to light recently regarding the changes that need to be made to the Kifissia Municipal Stadium, we quote the layout of the stadium after the forthcoming changes to it.
As can easily be seen, the minimal expanse of the football pitch does not, as has been wrongly said, destroy the tartan fabric of the track.

The required extension affects only the width of the pitch by one (1) meter from each side (to license the stadium for Super League 2 and Greek Cup matches) and affects one – and only one – lane lane – and only in the straight lines of the track.
Opera and means that the Municipal Stadium of Kifissia “Ioannis Zirinis” maintains six more tracks, making it fully functional for the other clubs and the citizens of our city.
This change is absolutely necessary, with the least possible disruption, as per UEFA regulations, in order to be able to license the Municipal Stadium of Kifissia “Ioannis Zirinis” and use it for Super League 2 and Greek Cup matches. In all other cases, in order to be able to participate in the championship of the second-placed national category, we must be held in a different stadium and municipality. Alternatively drop out of the Super League 2 championship, which we feel is unfair after the great success of promotion in the professional categories and the great progress of the last year.
What we as PAE Kifissia want to reiterate and clarify that each direction is the mood that we have for good cooperation with all authorities (Municipality of Kifissia, Association) to achieve the best possible solution so that everyone can live together in the Municipal Stadium of Kifissia “Ioannis Zirinis” and to contribute to the flourishing of sport in our city, as has been happening for many decades.
We hope that in the end logic will prevail, without political confrontations and tensions.
