Super League 2 decided on promotion for 2+1 teams and relegation for 4 from each group

The Super League 2 board decided to issue a proclamation for two plus one teams to be promoted and four relegated from each group. Unanimously Second Vice President Christos Pritsas of PAE Kifisia.

Five days ago, Super League 1 unanimously decided on another season with the relegation and penultimate play-off model of the bottom of the table. However, on Monday 18 July Super League 2 moved to a different pattern and in their own announcement decided the promotion of two plus one (2+1) teams in the upcoming league but also the relegation of four each teams to provide group.

As in the previous year, the boards of the two leagues went in different directions, at the same time a few days ago the President of the EPA, Takis Baltakos, declared himself in favor of the promotion of two teams to the big league.

Incidentally, PAE Kifisia’s Christos Pritsas has been unanimously elected second vice president of Super League 2 while a committee has been appointed that will finalize the matter of the contract with ERT.

The draw for the new league will take place on August 31st and the start of this league is scheduled for September 11th.

The Super League 2 announcement in detail:

The Super League 2 Board of Directors has closed making the following decisions:

1. Christos Pritsas (PAE Kifisia) was unanimously elected Vice-President.

2. The draw for the 2022-2023 Super League 2 Championship will take place on August 31, 2022 while the start date remains September 11, 2022

3. In its league announcement, SL2 decided unanimously to include promotion of 2+1 PAE and relegation of four (4) PAE from each group.

4. A committee has been appointed that will finalize the issue of the contract with ERT, consisting of the Board (Ms. Leoutsakos, Stamoulis and Pritsa) and Mr. Kazia (PAE Panserraikos), Papadimitriou (PAE Anagennisi Karditsa), Rokaki (PAE Chania) .

5. It was agreed unanimously to support the issue of professional arbitration based on the holistic study, but the PAE will request further clarifications on the financial aspect etc..”.
