Return to work for an important part of Greek sport, because the responsible health committee of the GGA gave the green light for the start of several first division championships, but also for the resumption of training in several other sports.
Specifically, the A1 Women’s Basketball, A1 Men’s Polo, A1 Men’s Handball, A1 Women’s Handball and A1 Women’s Polo appear to be taking place on the weekend of February 27th and 28th, while the courts will take place in the next few days The start is open for training in A2 men, 3rd national football, indoor soccer, 1st national women’s football, the swimming pools are open without changing rooms and with one person per seat, but so are the ski centers.
The Secretary General of Sport presented his plan to the Infectious Diseases Committee and received approval, on condition that, as appropriate, coronavirus tests are carried out to prevent the spread in the event of an outbreak.

“The “Committee for the Response to Health Emergencies caused by Infectious Pathogens” has given a positive suggestion to the applications of the Ministry of Sport for the start of championships and training courses and the “National Committee for the Protection of Public Health from Coronavirus”.
The start of the games, at the latest on February 27-28, 2021, of the championships:
A1 women’s basketball
A1 handball men and women
A1 polo women’s and men’s polo
on the basis of the strict health protocols in force and with the indication of the return of the teams to their headquarters on the same day if they take part in the organization of games outside the prefecture.

with the conditions for conducting weekly tests
Start of training in indoor swimming pools for:
Club athletes at performance level
Candidates from SEFAA and military schools
People with health problems (therapeutic swimming), under conditions of keeping their distance (one person per 30 m2 swimming pool), with closed changing rooms and weekly tests.
Opening of seven ski areas (without hut operation) for the training of athletes from ski clubs (with lists approved by the association) to be able to hold the championship in March using the lifts by one person, the mandatory use of a protective mask and the implementation of a test. Further details will be announced with the adoption of the relevant joint ministerial decision and then with the specialization that results from the GGA for each sport area“.
