The playoffs of the Super League 2 and 3rd National League will be drawn on Wednesday
The EPO has announced that the playoffs for promotion to the Super League 2 and the 3rd National League will be drawn next Wednesday (05.04.).
The draws for the promotion playoffs to the Super League 2 and the 3rd National League will take place next Wednesday. For promotion to the second division of Greek football, the five champions of the 3rd national team groups (one of them is Kozani) will play in a two-round, ten-game mini-championship and the four will be promoted.
The same applies to promotion to the third category as in the previous season. The 56 teams (53 EPS champions and Athens, Piraeus and Macedonia EPS runners-up) will be played in eight groups of seven and in a seven-game, one-round mini-championship (three home games, three away games and a day off) and the top three of the groups advance to the 3rd national team.
The EPA announcement in detail: “The draws for the promotion playoffs from the 3rd National Division to the Super League 2 and from the EPS championships in the 3rd national category will take place on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Athens Marriott Hotel, Aegean Hall” (385 Andrea Syggrou Ave., Athens 175 64).
The champion teams of the five (5) groups of the 3rd national team take part in the special promotion championship for promotion to the Super League 2. The five (5) teams will compete in matches after the draw (2 rounds/ten (10) matches in total). From the resulting final score, the top four (4) teams will be promoted to the higher category in order of points.
In the special championship of EPS for promotion to the 3rd national team, the fifty-three (53) championship teams of the EPS and the three (3) secondary athlete teams of the founding federations, ie fifty-six (56) teams in total. 8 groups of 7 teams each will be formed from which the top three (3) teams in the final rankings of each group will advance.
The Championship of the Champion Teams of the EPS will be held in a round with 7 games (3 home games, 3 away games + 1 rest day). A total of twenty-four (24) teams will be promoted from said Championship to the 3rd National League for the 2023-2024 season.
The draws will be conducted by the trainers Mr. Nikos Koustas and Mr. Sotiris Tzoumerkiotis and the presentation of the event was done by the journalist Zeta Theodorakopoulou.
