Third National
Fanis Gekas became the coach of Panagialios
Fanis Gekas is starting his coaching career, a career that will begin on the Panayialios bench.
Fanis Gekas’ path as a coach has taken a direction. Panayialios announced the start of their collaboration with the 41-year-old football veteran. Gekas takes over from Aigio’s team following the departure of Panagiotis Korombokis. Panayialios is fighting in Third country national and is in the reinforcement phase as there are only 14 players left.
The announcement in detail:
“Following the unexpected departure of Panagiotis Korombokis, which was entirely at his request for family reasons, the Panagialeio administration and in particular the club president George Gamaris have come to an agreement with the new coach who will take over the management of the team.
This is Fanis Gekas, who certainly does not need any special recommendations for his football career and is worth it, who has accepted the offer – a challenge that was placed on him and will officially take over the technical management in Aigio from Friday.
The squad of the team that is currently being filled consists of 14 players so far, only one of whom is not available for the away game on Sunday (17:00) with PAO Rouf. Specifically, the following remained and renewed: N. Villios (goalkeeper), D. Platykostas (extreme defender), K. Apostolis (defensive midfield), T. Vallianos (midfield), Pavl. Liatos (midfielder), G. Rodopoulos (defender), Ang. Nikolaou (extreme defender), G. Xynos (striker), was acquired by Ang. Karvounis (Apollon Aigio midfielder), Kleo Buzdra (Proodeftiki defender), D. Foufounis (Thebes midfielder) and Char. Hatziantoniou (extreme defender of Iraklis Psachnon).
The Aegean team has now reached an agreement with 26-year-old Valtemir Riberio Jr., who is a midfielder and played for a Polish team last year. The Brazilian footballer will be able to attend training but the issuance of his card has been delayed due to the need to exchange documents between the two associations to complete the transfer.“.
