Makedonikos’ announcement to acquire Tsoumanis in September
The final announcement for Nikos Tsoumanis was the takeover by Makedonikos and it made a big impact as the 31-year-old full-back would add to the promotion efforts.
Nikos Tsoumanis was supposed to be the star of Makedonikos in promotion from the third national team this season, but fate brought them differently.
The 31-year-old left-back signed for the Napoli side in mid-September and returned to the club after 12 years after making his first appearances with the men.
He hasn’t had time to compete this season as he was found dead in his car in Nea Krini on Tuesday morning while authorities were investigating the possibility of suicide.
Makedonikos’ announcement of the takeover of Tsoumanis
“The management of Makedonikos is pleased to announce the beginning of the cooperation with the football player Nikos Tsoumanis.
Twelve years after wearing the green for the first time, the veteran left-back signed again with Makedonikos at the age of 31 and will step up George Amanatidis’ team’s efforts to win the star this year.
From 2010 when he went to Skoda Xanthi, Tsoumanis has been mediated in Corfu, Panthrakikos, Aris (twice), Veria, Apollon Pontou and finally PO Triglia.
The club management welcomes Nikos to their ranks and wishes him a healthy and successful year on all levels!
