The referee of the Ellopiakos – Atromitos Piraeus match and the doctors managed to save the life of a football player in a national C team match.
A shocking incident marked the game between Ellopiakou and Atromitos Piraeus for the 3rd National League. It wasn’t until the 3rd minute that there was an aerial duel between Achemastos and Goga.
This caused the former to collapse on the pitch. Immediately, the match referee, Argyris Katsinis, rushed to put his tongue back in the correct position while the doctors who were on the field rushed to the scene.
This led to the footballer regaining consciousness and being taken to hospital for the necessary medical examinations.
