THE GREEK POLICE. on the incidents at PAO Rouf – Makedonikos: “Six people arrested, two police officers slightly injured”
ELAS with an official announcement states that six people from the episodes in PAO Rouf – Makedonikos were arrested, four of whom were minors.
EL.AS. has issued an announcement for the episodes in the game PAO Rouf – Makedonikos for the last game of the special promotion league in Super League 2.
Specifically, it says that six people were arrestedOffenses of disturbing the public peace, attempted dangerous bodily harm in a conspiracy, damaging someone else’s property, violence against public officials, disobedience and violations of the Beacon and Sparkler Act, the Narcotic Substances Act, the Weapons Act and the Violence Against Sport Act .
The perpetrators of the incidents attacked the police forces both inside and outside the field with flares, pieces of marble, stones, plastic seats, bottles, flares and fire extinguishers.
The ELAS announcement in detail: “-6- people were arrested for committing various crimes after the end of the football match between the teams “PAO ROUF – MAKEDONIKOS” which took place yesterday 6/11/2022 at Rouf Stadium
Yesterday afternoon, Saturday 11/6/2022, after the end of the football match between the teams “PAO ROUF – MAKEDONIKOS” that took place in the stadium of Rouf, a team of about -100- people, whose features were covered with full face hoods, entered the pitch to attack players and fans of the opposing team.
The police forces who intervened immediately were severely attacked by throwing stones, plastic seats, bottles, torches and fire extinguishers.
The police forces pushed them off the field by any means necessary.
The above group of people, after leaving the stadium, again attacked police forces by throwing pieces of marble, stones, hand grenades and direct fire.
After a coordinated approach, -6- people, including -4- minors, who were involved in the incidents, were arrested and proceedings were initiated for – in the case – crimes of disturbing the public peace, attempted dangerous bodily harm in collaboration, damaging other people’s property, Violence against public officials, disobedience and violations of the Beacon and Sparkler Act, the Narcotics Act, the Weapons Act and dealing with violence at sporting events.
Activated torches and rocks were found and confiscated in the area where the incidents occurred.
Two police officers were injured in the above incidents.
Those arrested were taken to the competent public prosecutor’s office“.
