Beer is allowed at the World Cup three hours before the games and one hour after the end of the game
Qatar has decided to ban beer during World Cup matches, allowing its sale only three hours before matches and one hour after the match.
Football fans attending the World Cup matches, which will be held in Qatar on November 21st, will have to reconcile that they will not be able to consume beer during the games.
According to Reuters, Qatar has decided to allow beer under certain conditions. This means that fans can only buy beer three hours before the game starts and one hour after the game ends.
Budweiser, the main sponsor of the World Cup with exclusive rights to sell the beer during the tournament, will only be serving within the perimeter of each stadium, not in the stadium stands.
This year’s World Cup is the first to be held in a Muslim country with strict alcohol restrictions.
So, the reason Qatar made this decision was accommodate the habits of fans who come from countries where there are no alcohol restrictions.
