World Cup
Ukraine lost heavily to Spain in the final match of the Women’s World Cup selections.
In the last qualifying match World Cup 2023 Ukraine women’s team lost away to Spain (0:5).
Luis Cortes’ guards missed every opportunity to make it to the World Cup in June, and the head coach’s task to place third in the group was completed in the final round. Therefore, the duel in Madrid against the Spanish national team, which with the maximum result already guaranteed the first place, had no tournament value.
But the housewives decided not to relax and support the leader’s brand. Already in the first half, four goals flew to the gates of the Ukrainians. He recorded couples Esther Gonzalez and Alba Redondo.
In the second half of the match, the coach of the Spanish national team made a series of substitutions, and the opponents slowed down a bit. They upset Ekaterina Samson once again. Jennifer Hermoso scores from 11 yards.
Total, 0:5 – defeat of the Ukrainian team. The Spanish national team won all the matches without conceding a single goal during the selection.
The winners of the groups went directly to the 2023 World Cup: Sweden, Spain, Netherlands, England, Denmark, Norway, Italy, Germany, France.
Three more tickets will play in the playoffs: Switzerland, Iceland, Ireland (reached the playoffs), Austria, Belgium, Scotland, Portugal, Wales, Bosnia and Herzegovina (semi-finals).
