Ukrainian football legend Andriy Shevchenko met with Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski in Poland as part of the United24 charity programme.
The player of the Polish national team received a captain’s armband in Ukrainian colors from Shevchenko. Lewandowski will play with him at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Lewandowski had previously worn a Ukrainian-colored headband in the matches he played for Bayern after February 24.
“Thank you, Andrey. It will be an honor for me to wear this captain’s armband in Ukrainian colors at the 2022 World Cup,” said Lewandowski.
