Colombia celebrated a great 3-2 friendly win over Mexico in California, the game was decided by a wonderful Barrios goal in the 68th minute. Hames started for the cafeteros, Pineda came in as a substitute for the sombreros.
In the early morning hours of Wednesday (28/09) a very exciting game took place in California, in which Colombia faced Mexico in a friendly match between the two teams before the World Cup and, thanks to a big upset, won 3-2.
The Sombreros got into the game better and after half an hour they had a two-goal lead thanks to Vega (6th, penalty) and Arteaga (29th), but in the second half the “Cafeteros” countered and brought the game up and away.
Within a few minutes, they “nullified” their opponents’ lead with Sinistera’s two goals (49′, 52′), while in the 68th minute they perfected the surprise when Borre crossed from the left and Barrios with an amazing One piece shot hit outside of range.
It should be noted that Olympiacos midfielder James Rodríguez started with Colombia, who was substituted early in the second half, while Orbelin Pineda played for Mexico, with the AEK midfielder coming on in the 78th minute.
