England at risk of losing key defender at 2022 World Cup
Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola says defender Kyle Walker may miss the World Cup in Qatar due to injury.
“He has an upper body injury. He’ll be away for a while. I don’t know how long. I can’t say anything more. You need to talk to the doctors.
I hope he has time to return to the world championship like Calvin Phillips. I know how important this tournament is for the players, but I will not give exact data now, ”confessed Guardiola.
This season, 32-year-old Walker has played in 8 Citizens games in all competitions.
The England team, led by Gareth Southgate, will play in Quartet B against the USA, Iran and Wales in the group stage of the 2022 World Cup.
Earlier, the England team presented new kits.
