Risk for Hernandez’ World Cup participation
Lika Hernandez’s injury is proving more serious than first thought and the French left-back is struggling to miss the big World Cup clash in Qatar.
Lika Hernandez was injured in Bayern’s 2-0 Champions League win over Barcelona in mid-September and initial reports say he would be out for between 4 and 6 weeks.
However, the concrete scenario doesn’t seem to be confirmed as Bayern lose the player for a long time and the French national team starts to worry about Qatar.
According to the German media, it is now quite possible that he will remain in the pits until mid-November, which automatically makes him doubt the World Cup.
However, according to sources from Bayern and those close to the player, there is optimism that Hernandez will normally take part in the grand celebration of world football, with the only question being whether he will be 100% ready for the premiere game to help out in the very first match of the World Champion in the fight for the title defense.
