Altobelli’s dramatic appeal: “Bring my jersey back from the World Cup final”

Alessandro Altobelli, one of Italy’s 1982 World Cup heroes, has asked for the return of one of the three shirts he wore in the final against Germany, revealing it was recently stolen by a friend.

The 1982 World Cup in Spain always brings back fond memories for fans of the Italian national team, when the Squadra Azzurra reached the final, beating then-mighty Brazil (in the quarter-finals) and beating West Germany 3-1.

Paolo Rossi, Marco Tardelli and Alessandro Altobelli were the golden scorers for the Italians, with Altobelli taking center stage for a not-so-pleasant event. Actually, to report a… theft and ask whoever took one of the three jerseys he wore in the final to return it.

“The jersey I wore to the World Cup final was stolen by a lawyer and good friend of mine. I ask whoever stole it to return it. It’s a precious memory for me but most of all I hope my boyfriend gets it back because he’s desperate.

He didn’t calm down considering he accidentally hurt me.”Altobelli stressed with his statements on Friday, revealing that the shirt was stolen from his friend during a train journey a few days ago.

“The concern is that whoever took this bag was unaware that it contained the Italy shirt and may have thrown it away like any other piece of clothing.

But if he understood what was going on, it would weigh heavily on his conscience. Finally, this is an item not for sale as this friend of mine managed to get almost all players in Italy to sign.

The strange and sad part is that he was carrying it to take to an event in Milan where he would meet two of my teammates to find the signatures he was missing.” continued Altobelli to reveal in the final that he had worn three shirts against the Germans in this Squadra Azzurra game together.

“The one I was wearing at the Bernabeu when I scored the 3-1 goal, I’m not leaving it, I’m keeping it as an heirloom. Another one is in the Football Museum in Coverzano.

The last one is what we are looking for and I gave it to my friend who is a passionate collector a few years ago.”

INFANTINO: “If there was no FIFA, there would be no football in 150 countries of the world”

FIFA President Gianni Infantino He commented on World Cup ticket prices, saying they reflected “absolutely insane” demand for next summer’s tournament:

“We have six to seven million tickets and in 15 days we received 150 million ticket requests. So every day we have 10 million requests. This shows how strong the World Cup is.”

FIFA has sold just 44 million tickets in almost 100 years of the World Cup. So we were able to sell tickets for the 300th anniversary of the World Cup in two weeks. Just imagine. “This is absolutely crazy.”

Infantino also noted that funds from ticket sales would be reinvested into world football, but did not specify a specific amount:

“The important thing is that the revenue from this goes back into football around the world. If it weren’t for FIFA, there would be no football in 150 countries of the world. Football exists thanks to the revenues we get from the World Cup, and we reinvest that into football around the world.”

Previously, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called on FIFA to further reduce 2026 World Cup ticket prices.

Secrets of the Real Madrid dressing room: Kroos told how he got along with Vinicius

Former Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos He talked about his interaction with Brazilian striker Vinicius Junior and other representatives of Brazil within the scope of the “royal club”.

“The Brazilians aroused my sympathy even as a child. While playing for Real Madrid, I developed excellent relationships with Vinicius, Casemiro and Militao.

It is very easy to find a common language with these guys: they know how to enjoy life, and their mentality is significantly different from that of the Germans.

Casemiro and Vinicius and I understood each other perfectly on the field and developed a unique football bond with Vini.

We communicated warmly in daily life. I believe that if there is no contact between players off the field, it is extremely difficult to achieve harmony in the game.

I used Vini’s high-speed bursts effectively and he masterfully directed my passes,” AS Kroos reports.

Let’s remember that Kroos defended the jersey of Real Madrid from 2014 to 2024. During this decade the German midfielder won the Champions League five times.
