A VIDEO published on TikTok shows the construction of large walls in front of slums, accusing Qatar of wanting to cover up the living conditions of the economically weaker sections of the population before the World Cup.

Qatar has come under criticism for human rights abuses over its bid to host the 2022 World Cup.

Specifically, the miserable conditions of migrant workers on the construction sites are accused, as thousands of deaths are lamented, but also the respect for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.

The country is under fire for another reason, as a video posted on TikTok and shared via reddit shows a wall being built outside a slum.

In fact, the wall appears to be under construction and is seen by Qatar as an attempt to mask the living conditions of the poorest and most vulnerable sections of the population ahead of the tournament.
