Japan’s 2022 World Cup squad announced
The coach of the Japanese national team, Hajime Moriyasu, announced the composition for the 2022 World Cup. The application of the national team for the upcoming tournament included 26 players.

midfielders: Wataru Endo (Stuttgart), Hidemasa Morita (Sports), Ao Tanaka (Fortune), Gaku Shibasaki (Leganes), Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton), Daichi Kamada (Eintracht Frankfurt), Ritsu Doan (Freiburg), Junya Ito (Reims), Takumi Minamino (Monaco), Takefusa Kubo (Real Sociedad), Yuki Soma (Nagoya Grampus);

The Japanese team will play in Quartet E in the group stage of the 2022 World Cup with the teams of Germany (November 23), Costa Rica (November 27) and Spain (December 1).
It was previously reported that French midfielder Paul Pogba will miss the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
