World Cup 2022: New reports on Zidane and France
Zinedine Zidane has once again been linked to the France national team’s bench, this time by a Spanish journalist who claimed he will take over in January regardless of their progress at the 2022 World Cup.
Zinedine Zidane remains unbenched but announced a few days ago that this will change soon. Spanish journalist Sergio Valentin claimed that the 50-year-old superstar’s next job will be with the France national team from next January.
Valentin had previously written to Libertad Digital that ‘Zizou’ will be the next France coach and has now raised it again as an agreement has been reached with the FFF.
France’s progress at the 2022 World Cup will not change that: Didier Deschamps’ contract expires in December of this year and will not be extended, so his former national team colleague will succeed him.
According to the Spanish publication, Zidane has also chosen his direct partner who will be his second assistant at Real, David Bettoni.
