World Cup 2022: Wales squad with Bale and three Nottingham players
Wales’ first World Cup appearance in 64 years will be spearheaded by Gareth Bale, who is in Rob Page’s 26-man squad.
Wales have been returning to a World Cup since 1958 and Rob Page has announced the 26-man squad who will travel to Qatar.
It bears the name of Gareth Bale, who was crowned US champion with Los Angeles and will make the transatlantic journey to help his country.
He will be joined by another veteran, Joe Allen, who was on the mission despite struggling with an injury issue.
The most represented team in the squad is Nottingham, who have Wayne Hennessy, Neko Williams and Brennan Johnson in the 26th round.
Injured Rhys Norrington Davies and Tyler Roberts were left out while Tom Lockyer returned to the call-ups after a year out.
Wales are in Group 2 along with USA, Iran and England.
