Gareth BALE: It’s a Hollywood script. So dreams come true”
Wales captain Gareth Bale believes the team’s entry into the 2022 World Cup is like a Hollywood movie script. Wales have not played in the World Cup for 64 years.
“We missed a lot of opportunities where we could achieve quality but never win.
It’s always been great to play with the friends I grew up with in Wales’ youth system. Whatever life is in our clubs, we really enjoy playing together.
This is an incredible Hollywood scenario. If someone offered me at least half of where we are now, I’d tear up such an opportunity when we started. “Qualifying for three of the four major tournaments is the way dreams come true,” Bale said.
Wales will play in Quartet E against England, the USA and Iran in the group stage of the 2022 World Cup.
