Champion modesty? Deschamps reveals France’s 2022 World Cup goal
France head coach Didier Deschamps has revealed what his players aim for in the 2022 World Cup.
In Qatar, as you know, the French will defend the title of the best team on the planet, which they won at the 2018 World Cup. At Euro 2020, the French, remember, reached the 1/8 final.
“We lost two of our key players – Kante and Paul Pogba. We are in a difficult situation, but our competitors are not better off. But I believe we will fight with all our strength. “Our goal is to reach the 1/8 finals,” Deschamps said.
The World Cup will be held in Qatar from 20 November to 18 December 2022. France will face Australia, Denmark and Tunisia in Group D.
