Germany lost 2-1 to Japan in the premiere of the 2022 World Cup, with the “Blue Samurai” even succeeding with a setback in the last part of the second part.

Germany had lost World Cups, as at the 2018 World Cup when they failed to qualify for the knockout stages, but rarely could a team turn a game when the Germans took the lead.

The last time the Germans led at halftime and lost in the end was at the 1978 World Cup when they were defeated 2–3 by Austria. Since then he has led 21 games in the first half and ended up not losing a single one.
